Radiographer

Primary Imaging – Band 5 – Qualified/Qualifying

Warrington & Halton Hospital is looking to recruit some Amazing Radiographers.

We are the ‘hidden-gem’ of the North-West and if you are a motivated, hard- working professional, who wants to progress in your career, then “WE ARE” the perfect place for you.

We are a team that is keen to push boundaries and develop our staff from within. We support Radiographer Reporting in Chest, Abdomen, MSK, and Nuclear Medicine. We also support Radiographer-Led CT Colonography, with advanced practice in Mammography & Interventional Theatres.

We encourage self-development and fully support attendance at National and International Conferences to ensure we get the best outcomes for our patients. In 2019 we had delegates and presenters at UKIO, RSNA, BNMS and BEMUS.

In return, we expect a team approach and some hard work! However to ensure work/life balance, we operate a shift system that provides an additional 6 weeks additional leave per year through TOIL. Also, our overnights are paid, and are not part of a shift!

We support new staff by ensuring they are on a mentorship programme to support their transition to our Trust, which ensures that you will feel confident and competent in your role.

The successful candidates will gain experience by rotating through the main department, A&E, mobiles/ theatre and interventional procedures. There are also a number of career advancement opportunities to develop into Cross Sectional, Breast Screening and Ultrasound.

Warrington is situated at the heart of the regional motorway network, with quick and easy access throughout the region and the wider UK via the M62, M6 and M56.

Many more exciting cultural destinations are on the doorstep of Warrington, including the historic city of Chester, and the cosmopolitan cities of Liverpool and Manchester, all within approximately 30 minutes’ drive.

Rail links are also outstanding. There are frequent services to London via the West Coast Main Line, with a travel time of less than two hours. East-west rail links are also excellent, with the Trans Pennine Express service linking the town to Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and the east coast. Travel times to both Liverpool and Manchester are 30 minutes or less by rail.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
