Following some exciting service redesign we are expanding our clinical team and require Bank Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to cover annual leave, sickness and shift gaps. The posts are within the Acute Visiting Service (AVS), out of hours visiting and treatment centres in the Sefton area, with the current bases being at Southport, Litherland and Bootle from which staff are mobilised to areas of demand to provide scheduled and unscheduled care to cover the footprint of the organisation in and out of hours.

The successful candidates will be qualified to MSc level in Advanced Clinical Practice or will be RCN credentialed. Within the role it is required that you are a competent practitioner who can apply clinical reasoning to assess, diagnose, and prescribe where appropriate. In addition, you will discharge whilst making appropriate referrals and providing the right care and advice for patients with undifferentiated illness.

You will support and contribute to the delivery of policy and procedures, provide leadership as required, will act as a mentor and positive role model to other staff and will facilitate training and education as required.

You will be supported by the Clinical Lead, the Head of Clinical Services and the Chief Nurse, in partnership with the Heads of Locality and Senior Operational Managers, to drive forward clinical excellence, leadership, quality, safety and high standards.
