Locum Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care

We require Locum Consultants to provide cardiothoracic anaesthetic and intensive care services at Papworth Hospital, one of the UK’s leading specialist cardiothoracic, cardiopulmonary transplantation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) centres.


The successful candidates will join a team of consultant anaesthetists and intensivists who provide the full range of cardiothoracic anaesthetic and intensive care services including respiratory ECMO.

You will have the clinical skills, drive and commitment to contribute to our leading edge status. Ideally you should have completed your training and possess a certificate of completion of training (CCT), certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or equivalent in the speciality of anaesthesia. You will have significant experience of adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care. Experience of ECMO and skills in echocardiography are desirable.
