There are opportunities to fill a vacancy as a Band 4 working as a bi-disciplinary Associate Practitioner in the Blood Sciences department (Chemistry and Haematology).

Area of Work:
FastTrack Laboratory, Blood Sciences (Chemistry and Haematology)

All 3 Sites; Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General & Glenfield General Hospital.

£21,892 to £24,157 pa + enhancements for unsociable hours

Working pattern:
Shifts covering 24/7 working. 37.5 hours on average per week

We have an exciting opportunity for people with a Foundation degree or equivalent who want to work as bi-disciplinary Associate Practitioners in the Blood Sciences Department. Full training will be given in the use of large automated analysers to process blood samples.

Candidates with relevant hospital laboratory experience, who meet the criteria to start training to be an Associate Practitioner, may be considered.

You will be a well motivated team member who is able to prioritise and work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You must be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, have a flexible approach and be capable of working accurately and efficiently under pressure.

There will be a requirement to work on any of Leicester’s 3 hospital sites, any time over a 24/7 period.
