Applicants must have a recognised infection control qualification at degree level (or working towards), and have 3 years post registration experience, and also experience working within an infection control team.

The post holder will be expected to provide expert, evidence based IPC advice, guidance and support predominantly to the University Hospital of North Durham site however will be required to travel and work across sites within the Trust. Provide support and specialist advice to all disciplines of staff, patients and members of public regarding the prevention and control of infection. Develop a quality, proactive, evidence based infection control service, to prevent and reduce the incidence of infection across the organisation.

You should be flexible, adaptable, an excellent communicator, well organised and able to work to deadlines under pressure.
