We are developing an exciting career development pathway for experienced MSK APP to help shape the future of the service and develop their clinical skills. The APP role supports the clinical delivery of the North Hampshire MSK service. The MSK service encompasses. Physiotherapy MSK Podiatry Community Triage (APP/GPSI)Orthopaedic Surgery

The purpose of the APP role is to work as an autonomous APP providing expert musculoskeletal assessments, clinical diagnosis and management in an advanced role.

The role of the APP Team Lead has additional responsibilities that include:

  • Time to be split 0.7 clinical and 0.3 managerial/admin
  • Direct Line management of the APP team cascading line management via senior APP’s for more junior APP’s. Line managing no more than 5 staff members
  • Dealing with queries and gatekeeping relating to the APP service
  • Deputising for Clinical Lead or Pathway Lead when appropriate

Person Specification:

  • experience with experience as an APP
  • Relevant evidence of CPD
  • Member of HCPC and CSP
  • Degree in physiotherapy
  • Experience working in a musculoskeletal setting
