An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled, innovative and enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our team of Senior Rotational Pharmacists.

The successful candidate will be required to provide clinical pharmacy services to a wide range of specialties including: Medicine, Care of the Elderly, Surgery, Acute Admissions, Paediatrics, ITU and Antimicrobials on a rotational basis.

The role includes:

  • Providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients from admission to discharge on the wards
  • Developing the role of the pharmacist in the multi-disciplinary team at ward level.
  • Day to day working with the medicines management technicians
  • Providing prescribing advice and support to junior medical staff.
  • Educating patients about their medicines.
  • Training of medical and nursing staff
  • Supervision and training of junior and pre-registration pharmacists, technicians and assistants.
  • Participation in clinical audit, preparation of policies and procedures and involvement in risk management.
