Salary: Band 7 £38.890 - £44,503pa  (dependent on experience)

Location: Temporary base; Michael Carlisle Centre, pending move to alternative city centre base

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic person to this new role with the Community Enhancing Recovery Team. This post offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Practitioner to work clinically as part of a large multi-disciplinary team.

CERT was set up in 2014 to provide intensive, bespoke packages of care to service users in their own homes, as an alternative to being in Locked Rehabilitation, out of city hospital placements. Over the past 6 years the team has expanded to work with up to 45 service users with complex mental health needs, personality disorders and/or learning disabilities to support them to move from hospital into their own tenancies. Referrals are primarily received from inpatient acute and rehabilitation services.

Service users are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team with the aim of enabling them to live independent and fulfilled lives. The team provides intensive quality interventions primarily between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week with the ability to increase to 24 hours (where necessary) to promote recovery.

As a Senior Practitioner you will be responsible for leading and supporting the team to deliver outstanding care and demonstrate excellent clinical leadership within a whole team approach.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with people in both hospital and community settings with a variety of complex needs and will be able to demonstrate a high level of leadership in a large team setting.. You will also be able to demonstrate significant clinical experience and be able to support and motivate the team. A professional qualification in Mental Health and/or Learning Disability is essential with current registration with NMC or HCPC.

The successful candidates will play a significant role in the on-going development of the service and improving quality.
