Cygnet is one of the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Psychologist. We work in close partnership with the National Health Service, providing a step down service for NHS patients detained in secure facilities or acute settings. Cygnet emphasis on intensive psychiatric rehabilitation provides clients with a step-by-step programme to return to the community or suitable long-term placement.

Cygnet Delfryn House:

Delfryn House hospital is a 28 bed hospital specialising in psychiatric mental health rehabilitation for men. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist patients with their return to independent living. The buildings have been designed with rehabilitation in mind allowing a dynamic flow for patients with easy access to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Both services have dedicated clinical teams to provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training

Job Role:

You will be an enthusiastic and committed Clinical/Forensic Psychologist joining a progressive Multi-Disciplinary team providing a high quality psychology service for men with severe and enduring mental health needs within an in-patient setting. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a comprehensive range of psychological therapies, risk assessment, training and supervision. The candidate will also be expected to take a lead in the design and implementation of individual and group psychological treatment programmes. You will need the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience of working within in-patient services would be an advantage although support is available for newly qualified psychologists.
