We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons to the north.

Due to retirement of the current post holder we are looking for a compassionate and experienced SLT and leader to work at the forefront of our adult speech and language therapy service. We cover both acute (in 3 district general hospitals) and community services with a skilled and knowledgeable adult team which includes SLTs, support workers and admin staff. Regular whole department workshops are held as well as adult specific meetings.

You will be part of an experienced senior management team within speech and language therapy who work closely with our Therapies colleagues. You will also have a key role deputising for the Head of SLT service and will need to have a clear strategic approach to service delivery.

This post is full time but requests to work 30 hours across 5 days will be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
