Digital Comms Officer Job – Band 5 - Fixed Term

Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals’ has a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Communications Officer to join a busy and dedicated team, supporting 4000 colleagues with high quality communications and engagement activity.

It’s an exciting time at the Trust. We launched our new five year strategy in 2018 and have commenced a journey of radical transformation with £100 million investment enabling us to provide services that are better coordinated and more efficient. The improvements will include a new integrated emergency and urgent care facility, more parking for staff and visitors, improved staff accommodation, new shops, restaurants and staff wellbeing facilities. We are also undertaking a range of projects working with our local community, with the aim to become an integrated ‘anchor institution’ to improve long term health for all.

As we navigate the evolving COVID-19 situation, it is now more important than ever that we strive to provide the most informative and engaging communications for the team, patients, visitors and the public, and that we are able to work at pace to ensure information is provided in a timely manner.

The future is exciting and there is opportunity for the right individual to support several high profile projects, develop their skills and ideas and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

The post is suitable for an enthusiastic and creative individual with a passion for excellence that is keen to develop their career in communications.
