University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust is one of the largest teaching Trusts in the UK with sites in both Coventry and Rugby and rated as GOOD by the Care Quality Commission (CGC).

We are linked to the top class universities of both Warwick and Coventry.

Applications are invited to the post of Trust Grade Speciality Doctor in Respiratory Medicine at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The post is for duration of one year (extendable) starting from August 2020. MRCP or equivalent is desirable. General Medical on call as per rota would be included in the duties.


The Respiratory Department sits within the Medicine Group. The Respiratory Unit has 88 beds, including 4 negative pressure rooms and ward-based NIV. Sub-specialty out-patient clinics exist for airways disease, sleep medicine and ventilation, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease and TB, and there is a Respiratory on-call rota with ‘in-reach’ into Acute Medicine. There would be opportunity to get experience and training in these specialist areas and also in bronchoscopy and pleural procedures.
