We employ around 7000 staff who work from over 200 sites, including community hospitals, health centres, inpatient units and social care services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with this new role for an experienced, registered pharmacy technician to join the Acute Mental Health Team in Southampton. This post will be based at Antelope House and will be focused on providing essential front line pharmacy services such as medicines reconciliation, discharge planning, patient counselling and medicines supply services to the team. Extended roles include contributing to the audit and teaching agendas.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician who is willing to work across the multidisciplinary team and keen to develop the pharmacy services that we offer. The post holder must possess excellent interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills and be flexible and able to work across a number of services in and around Hampshire. We can offer a friendly and supportive team who are passionate and dedicated to ensure medicines safety is at the heart of patient care.


Successful applicants must have:

UK registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

NVQ Level 3/ BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent qualification)

Recent experience working as a registered pharmacy technician, preferably in a hospital environment.

Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT)
