Salary: Band 7 £38,890 - £44,503 pa (dependent upon experience) permanent

We are seeking a dynamic, skilled and motivated individual with vision and determination to manage and lead one of our acute working age inpatient wards within Sheffield Mental Health Services.
Stanage Ward is a busy and clinically active environment providing for the assessment and treatment of service users experiencing a diverse range of mental health needs. Located at the Michael Carlisle Centre Centre, Stanage Ward will be one of the acute inpatient wards to re-locate to a purpose-built unit as part of the organisation’s acute care modernisation programme. This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to be pivotal in the future development of acute crisis care and will involve working in close collaboration with other services. The successful candidate will be involved in shaping and moulding the future pathway as part of the acute care modernisation programme.

You will need to be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with experience of leading and managing individuals and/or teams. You should be a confident, competent and person-centred leader with a high level of clinical skills and knowledge of acute care and of the standards and procedures that direct the acute care system.

The post holder will be expected to be a key member of the leadership team and to be able to achieve and maintain high standards of recovery-focused care. You will need to possess a positive attitude towards caring for the service user population, be able to motivate and inspire others and have a desire to contribute to the on-going development and improvement of services.
