Clinical Office Administrator- Dermatology

Hours: Band 3 full time 37.5 hours/week

We are seeking a full time clinical office administrator and to join our dermatology team (including an existing part-time administrator) at the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

The applicant will provide comprehensive support and administrative services to the team within the department. You will be expected to organise your workload and co-ordinate activities to ensure an efficient friendly service is provided. The administrator will carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation; it is essential that the administrator should exercise initiative and maintain confidentiality at all times in line with Trust policy.

You will be able to register patient details on patient administration systems and data bases; obtain, prepare and maintain patient records and deal with personal information in line with Data Protection and Information Governance guidelines.

We are looking for excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be customer focused. Responsibilities will include keeping the reception and consulting rooms tidy and well stocked. There will be an element of dealing with reporting faults and ordering supplies, as well as overseeing the administration of our education programme and existing/emerging technology. You will have good computer skills and be proactive and willing to learn.

Full training will be given on all of the above as required.

No dermatology experience is required to apply for this post.
