This is an opportunity to play an important role in a large-scale programme of change that will radically improve how NHSBT works and interacts with its users.


The Assistant Director for Information Management & Cyber is a key member of the Digital & Technology Senior Management team and is responsible for the operational leadership and strategic provision of information and cyber services across NHSBT. You will lead the team with accountability for ensuring appropriate assurance and governance is in place to support the delivery of robust and effective IT systems, business services, and business process to ensure a secure by design approach.


You will be responsible for developing and leading on the creation & development of a comprehensive Cyber, information security and governance strategy including the strategic development and implementation of policy systems and practice to assess and reduce the cyber security and information risk exposure at NHSBT.


We are looking for candidates who can apply their ‘on the ground’ experience of driving the transformation of organisations, not those who will maintain the status quo. You will have the ability to lead by example and act as a role model for the ICT directorate  and to inspire, motivate and coach others. Excellent judgement, networking and influencing skills underpin all your work, along with a genuine commitment to diversity in the workforce.


You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate your continuing professional development.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
