To provide, lead, manage and clinically supervise in an exciting new children’s service as well as provide clinical oversight to all our other Mental Health Services within Mind. These services  will be delivering across Clacton, Tendring and Colchester: the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) for children will be a part of your role, where the other part will focus on providing clinical direction and leadership to all our other exciting adult and children’s services. The MHST’s will be based within schools, ensuring children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support. Where our other services including IAPT Counselling, online wellbeing services and ASD are based across Mind bases across Tendring and Colchester.

In this role you will implement the provision of a high-quality Early Intervention service to students (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will lead the team in delivering evidence-based interventions to support the recovery of young people referred to the service. This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards. You will utilise your skills and knowledge of CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice, and knowledge of whole school approaches to mental health, in order to lead the MHST. You will ensure the ‘voice of the child/young person’ is pivotal in all aspects of clinical practice and development.  Co-production will underpin the MHST’s.

The role will also require use of your expertise in providing Clinical direction and oversight of all Minds Adult and Children’s Mental Health Services. You will be expected to provide a clinical oversight at a strategic level to ensure services are clinically robust and lead as well as provide guidance on tendering and implementing of new services
