The Successful Estates Project Manager will be part of a busy team delivering a variety of projects within the built environment. Reporting to the Senior Technical Project Manager you will take responsibility for ensuring your allocated projects are delivered safely on time/cost/quality. You will be required to liaise with Clinical Staff and Managers across the trust building strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.

Contract and Contractor management skills are essential to ensure that whilst undertaking works in a live hospital environment that we mitigate and control work activities so that they have as little impact on service delivery as possible.

The role will often require imaginative solutions to complex problems and would suit a dynamic individual looking for a career in Healthcare or an existing Healthcare employee looking for training and career advancement.


Essential skills:

Experience of working within an Estates department managing maintenance or project activities

Self-motivation and drive to deliver projects from cradle to grave

Strong communication and influencing skills

Report writing skills

A building related qualification.

IT Literate with a working knowledge of MS suite and Project

Working knowledge of JCT or NEC based contracts



IOSH or NEBOSH Certificate

Higher qualification (HNC/D or degree) in a building related subject.

Healthcare experience

APM/Prince2 qualified



NHS band 7
