Digital Delivery Director

Job Reference: 918-IM5541

Employer:
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT)
Location:
National
Salary:
£91,004 to £104,927

At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) we know that first class Digital & Technology services play a critical role in donation and transplantation across the UK. It’s a fundamental part of our goal to be the best donation service in the world for blood, organs, tissues and stem cells.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in a large-scale programme of change that will radically improve how NHSBT works and interacts with its users.

The Director for Digital Delivery will be a key member of the Digital and Technology Senior Management Team and will act as a deputy to the CDIO. You will lead a team of people primarily based in Bristol and Birmingham alongside teams from our strategic development partners to deliver user centred, digital first services.

You will have overall responsibility for the delivery of digital products and services and you will work with the CDIO and the Assistant Director of Solution Delivery to design and implement a structure that enables product centric working across Blood, Organ Donation and Transplantation, Donor Experience, Clinical and Corporate Services.

We are looking for candidates who can apply their ‘on the ground’ experience of driving the transformation of organisations, not those who will maintain the status quo. You will have the ability to lead by example and act as a role model for the Digital & Technology directorate and to inspire, motivate and coach others. Excellent judgement, networking and influencing skills underpin all your work, along with a genuine commitment to diversity in the workforce.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate your continuing professional development.

Please contact hello@twentysevenconsulting.co.uk for more information.

Interviews will be held on the 2nd of July.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require current Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the current Resident Labour Market Test which will be in place until the end of December 2020. UK Visas and Immigration requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, have had to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
