Qualified Paramedic

 

Salary: Newly Qualified Paramedic (registered after 1st September 2016)

Band 5 £24,907 – £30,615 plus any unsocial hours enhancements relevant to the post as per the NHS Terms & Conditions 2018

Registered Paramedic Band 6, £31,365 – £37,890 (based on experience & evidence of current salary) plus any unsocial hours enhancements relevant to the post as per the NHS Terms & Conditions 2018

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Base: Birmingham & Black Country HUBs ONLY

West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit HCPC Registered Paramedics with a passion to strive to deliver the best possible patient care. If you are motivated and wish to continue providing excellent clinical standards then apply now.

If you wish to apply for a substantive contract as a Registered Paramedic, have experience within the role and hold an Emergency Driving qualification recognised by WMAS then please complete an application form and submit no later than the closing date below.

The assessment process will be split into two stages; an initial Advanced Life Support (ALS) assessment and subject to successful completion of this you will then be invited to attend a final selection day to complete the remaining assessments which consist of a driving assessment, fitness assessment, interview, clinical OSCE and VIVA clinical case study.

Applicants must be registered with the HCPC and hold a full UK driving licence along with Category C1 entitlement with no more than 3 points (consideration may be given to applicants with up to 6 points on their licence but this will be reviewed on an individual basis).

 

This position involves a regulated activity which will require an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check. The disclosure will, where appropriate to the role, include information against the Independent Safeguarding Authority barred lists for working with children, adults or both.

 

Where a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required for the post, applicants are required to cover the cost of the check. The cost (£49 for an enhanced check or £30 for a standard/basic check) is payable to our online provider at the time that the DBS application is submitted.
