Employment Advisor (Ref: OX189)
37.5 hours per week
£23,264 per annum
Based: Oxfordshire Employment Service
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to the principles of social inclusion, to work with adults with mental health needs. Working across Oxfordshire the post will work supporting people accessing primary care provision by using evidence-based interventions to retain their job, liaising with employers and assisting people in finding and keeping paid work.
Working as part of a team, you will work closely with mental health workers, partners and other agencies. You will have experience of working within employment support. You will demonstrate an ability to prioritize caseload and have an understanding of the principles of the Equalities Act and how it relates to Employment Rights.
You will be educated to a minimum ‘A’ Level Standard (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), you will have awareness of/and or experience of working with people who have experienced mental health issues, particularly in accessing employment and will have the demonstrated skills and ability to help others identify and overcome barriers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and highly motivated attitude. This post will operate throughout in the Oxfordshire area and flexibility to travel regularly across the county is an expectation of the role.
