We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons to the north.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg is a diverse area with high levels of deprivation and associated health problems, as well as areas of affluence and growth. As part of its overarching plan with regard securing the continued success of its primary care services for the future, the University Health Board is looking to recruit a Clinical Lead GP to promote and develop one of our managed practices in Ferndale to the highest level before returning the practice to independent contractor status.

The successful GP will be passionate about healthcare delivery and be keen to develop and work alongside our team at a busy and well established practice of over 7,500 registered patients across two sites in Ferndale and Maerdy.

We encourage enthusiasm and innovation and are particularly interested in candidates who express a strong desire for clinical leadership to enact change and improvement. The post will be ideal for an experienced GP seeking managerial and clinical responsibility.
