Job Summary:

The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP)is committed to delivering technological system improvements to AmbulanceTrusts which will ensure and enhance interoperable communications between Ambulance Trusts, the NHS, and other emergency responders.

ARP offers the opportunity to work within a technology and mobile communications programme that makes a real difference to ability of the ambulance service to respond to the needs of its patients.

The Ambulance Radio Programme have established a Programme management office (PMO). As the various procurements for CRS, MDVS, and ESMCP progress the volume and complexity of the activities required by the PMO is increasing.

Responsibilities

The post holders’ responsibilities include but are not limited:

  • Development and ongoing management of a configuration management plan which will describe any specific procedures, identify roles and responsibilities to be effective, predictable and repeatable during the Programme life cycle.
  • Ensure all changes to configuration items are documented. An important aspect is the ability to identify the interrelationships between configuration items. This is essential information for the ‘review’ and ‘assessment’ steps in the change control process
  • Responsible for development of document standards and version control throughout ARP
  • Development and on-going management of a suite of reports
  • Manage project risks and responsible for identification of slippages and escalation to the Head of Service Delivery
  • Manage and assist with the quality assurance process.
  • Develop and assist with the development of Programme communication plans.

Qualifications/Experience:

Essential

  • Degree or Equivalent
  • Structured professional course and qualification in: PRINCE2, or MSP

Desirable

  • General management or ITIL Service Management qualification.
