What will I be doing in my new role?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Pharmacist to join our experienced and friendly clinical team. You will work as part of our team to deliver a high quality, caring clinical pharmacy service to wards and departments where patient experience and safety is at the heart of everything we do.

 

This role will suit candidates with previous hospital experience considering a move into a more specialist pharmacist role.

 

What about the department I will Join?

 

We have recently completed a Pharmacy Transformation Programme to include refurbishment of the department and adoption of the latest technology to include a Chemotherapy EPMA system, automated robotic and controlled drug dispensing and e-Rostering.

 

You will also participate in EDC, late night, weekend and bank holiday rotas.

 

You will also have the opportunity to undertake further training relevant to the role.

Bedford Hospital is situated in a beautiful part of the UK in the county of Bedfordshire. Bedford is a riverside town with easy access to quiet unspoilt countryside, which can become useful after a fulfilling shift. Bedford is one of, if not the most, cosmopolitan town in the UK with over 50 different ethnic groups represented.

 

It now provides a wide range of services which include beds for Care of the Elderly, ENT, General Medicine, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Neonatal, Obstetrics, Oncology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Vascular Surgery, Breast Surgery and Urology. A modern Accident and Emergency Department includes a 6-bedded observation ward. The Critical Care Complex provides both High Dependency and Intensive Care beds to a maximum capacity of 12 beds.
