We are looking for Night Managers, people with a strong leadership and operational management skills to help ensure the patient flow is managed through the night.

 

 

 

 

The Nightingale Hospital North West is part of the huge NHS mobilisation plan to deal with the growing number of Covid-19 cases and is a key facility in the region’s response. It is located in the heart of Manchester, at the Manchester Central conference centre, formerly known as G-MEX (Windmill Street, Manchester M2 3GX).   

 

The hospital has up to 750 beds for patients. It will provide care for those who no longer need to be in a critical care environment. It will also link closely to community health and social care services, as well as the hospitals across the North West region.

The Night Manager is a senior clinician (Band 8a) responsible for the operational management of the hospital and patient flow. Ensuring any relevant operational and escalation polices are implemented effectively feeding back any issues that may lead to amendment / improvement to our operational processes and systems. 

 

They are looking for someone who has the following 

 

  • Clinical Experience as a NURSE or AHP

  • Experience as a Band 7 or above and this must be for 12 months or more

  • Management experience within previous roles

 

You will need to 

 

  • Be able to work 20.00 – 8.30 shifts on a 3 on 3 off rota

  • Ideally have experience working night shifts

  • Feel comfortable with lone working

  • Be comfortable making decisions independently

  • Manage the nursing staff working the night shifts
