The role of the Lead Practice Nurse is to support quality assurance and quality improvement of Primary Care Medical Services, with a specific focus on the role of General Practice Nursing. The role will be part of a wider team to gain assurance of quality of care within Primary Medical Services across Wirral.

In addition to the role as part of the wider team the role will also work alongside Primary Medical Services, particularly at Primary Care Network level, to ensure development of the General Practice Nurse roles aligned to national and local drivers.

The post holder will be an expert resource for Wirral Health and Care Commissioning in relation to Primary Care Nursing and ensure they remain up to date with all developments in Primary Care Nursing; nationally and regionally.
