The post holder will work in general community paediatrics, involving secondary level assessment and ongoing care of children with a range of developmental disorders and disabilities, including vulnerable children in need and at risk.

Ideally, the post holder would be experienced in all aspects of community paediatrics including neurodisability, sensory impairment, social communication disorders in young children including assessment for autism spectrum conditions, special school clinics, safeguarding medical assessments and children in care.

We are very keen to recruit a new colleague, but recognise that in the current emergency pandemic situation, it may not be possible in the short term to convene a formal Appointments Advisory Committee in line with usual substantive consultant appointment processes. Job Description is currently awaiting approval with the Royal College.
