We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner or Clinical Psychologist to work in the Eating Disorder Service for people with Anorexia Nervosa. The DHCFT Eating Disorder Service was established in 2007, it is a small multidisciplinary team which covers the City of Derby and the County of Derbyshire providing a high quality community service, which will provide therapeutic interventions and also provide consultation and advice to a wide range of staff. The Service works in partnership with a 3rd Sector provider to deliver high quality interventions to clients with eating disorders and their carers. In addition the service has close working relationship with other eating disorders services in the East Midlands region, specialist inpatient units and Gastroenterology Departments. The team also works closely with 2 CAMHS eating disorders teams in the county.

You will be expected to hold a caseload of clients with Anorexia Nervosa, delivering therapeutic interventions and act as care co-ordinator in many cases. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to be a good communicator and team player. You will need to be prepared to travel to see clients and be flexible to meet the demands of the job. The current vacancy is for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.

You will be expected to maintain good working relationships both inside and outside the Trust.

The team currently consists of Psychiatrists, 4 Clinical Psychologists, 2 CBT Therapists, Nurse Therapists, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and Administrators. The team currently delivers a range of therapeutic interventions from CBT-e, Mantra, RO-DBT, EMDR and psycho-dynamic and systemic informed approaches.

The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.
