Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is currently recruiting caring, dedicated Healthcare Assistants to work at Gloucester Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals. Working as part of our temporary staff bank offers a flexible way of working, with both ad hoc and longer, full-time bookings available. You could work shifts or days to suit your lifestyle. You can always depend on a steady supply of work and can choose when and where you want to work. Opportunities to work on our wards providing excellent patient care.

What we need from you:

  • Essential: At least 6 months experience of basic nursing and personal care which must be within the past 12 months (or you are currently a Student Nurse)

  • Appropriate verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible and responsive to working environment.

  • Practical ability, prioritisation and time management.

In addition, if you meet our criteria you may be eligible for our fast-track recruitment process. This would mean falling into one of the following categories (please identify this on your application):

  • You have worked for us previously
  • You are currently employed by an NHS Trust (or in the last 12 months)
  • You currently employed in a healthcare setting (ie. GP surgery / Nursing Home)
  • Or do you have a Trust Guarantor? (this is an existing member of staff at the Trust who can confirm your suitability for the role. If you have a gurantor, please put their details, including phone number, as your 2nd referee)

  • Non – Registered Workers:

    Day rate: £11.54 per hour

    Night and Saturday: £16.62 per hour

    Sunday and Bank Holiday: £21.70 per hour
