Frimley Health Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit a Specialist Midwife for Safeguarding. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and clinically experienced individual (with current professional registration) to work at the Wexham Park Hospital site, taking a lead for Safeguarding and working closely with the Vulnerable Women’s Community Midwifery Team and the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Midwife.

We are seeking an individual with experience of Safeguarding who can demonstrate a high level of understanding around the complexities of the role. Candidates will be educated to degree level or beyond, and will demonstrate the ability to manage change and promote excellence, adapting policies, protocols and guidelines in line with national imperatives.

Skill in using a range of media formats to deliver training and updates will be a positive advantage, as the Safeguarding Midwife must be able to engage and educate an evolving workforce.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in Safeguarding, and experience of Community as well as Hospital midwifery will be an advantage. He or she will be expected to work collaboratively with medical staff, Midwives, Support Workers, Nurses, Midwifery and Nursing Students and other professionals who may influence maternity care. They will also be able to write and present information to a high standard, having a proven track record in effective cross-disciplinary communication.
