Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust are proud award winners of the HSJ Provider of the Year 2019

Owing to unprecedented events regarding COVID-19 we are working tirelessly to recruit quickly for Band 8a Associate Nurse Practitioners to join the BANK at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

The Bank covers a large geographical area across Hull, East Yorkshire and areas of North Yorkshire including Scarborough, Malton and Whitby including GP Practices.

You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about high quality patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working nursing teams and will need to be able to think on the spot, show empathy and be hardworking and dedicated.

The Bank enables staff to work varying hours on an as and when basis but can be on a full and part time capacity across a range of shift patterns including day, evening and night shifts. This also provides staff with the opportunity to work when they are available or around family commitments.

Applicants will have a relevant up to date Nursing registration and preceptorship and be expected to display a high standard of care, communication, and the ability to develop relationships with patients.

Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to work effectively with patients, staff and peers and to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

All mandatory training will be provided as well as role specific training, Additional training may be available dependant on the service area needs.

We will rely on your co-operation as a candidate to enable us to process Pre employment checks quickly if you are successful. We intend to carry out telephone interviews and you can expect this to take place within 2 days of your application.

Please note that if there is a high volume of applications we reserve the right to close the vacancy earlier than the advertised closing date.

This post will be subject to successful completion of a 6 month probationary period where applicable, further details would be included within any offer letter.

Applicants who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome to apply and will be considered alongside all other applicants. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Border Agency requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. Further information is available on the UK Border Agency website.

If required for the post the ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport would be essential.

We will apply for a Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service for the successful candidate if this is required for the post. Anyone applying for a position which involves a regulated activity will require an enhanced Disclosure & Barring check and that the disclosure will, where appropriate to the role, include information against the Independent Safeguarding Authority barred lists for working with children or working with adults or both.

IMPORTANT: Should your application be successfully shortlisted, you will be contacted to attend an interview electronically to the email address provided at the time of the application. It is important therefore, that you CHECK YOUR EMAILS/NHS JOBS ACCOUNT on a regular basis.

If you are not contacted by the Trust within six weeks of the closing date of the vacancy, your application will have been unsuccessful on this occasion. We would however like to thank you for the interest you have shown in the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require current Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the current Resident Labour Market Test which will be in place until the end of December 2020. UK Visas and Immigration requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
