Are you looking for a role that is genuinely rewarding and gives you the chance to make a real difference to peoples’ lives? Do you like the flexibility of working when it suits you, perhaps certain days of the week, or covering for short term assignments?

We are currently recruiting Passenger Assistants to join our casual bank, within locations across the county.

About the role

You will be supporting vulnerable children or adults travelling on Wiltshire Council contracted transport to and from school or their respective social day care services.

Working in conjunction with the driver, you will ensure that the passengers in your care have a safe and enjoyable journey.

As a Passenger Assistant, you will be involved in a degree of manual handling, manipulation and clamping of wheelchairs and first aid / evacuation of a vehicle in an emergency. Full training is provided and attendance at training is mandatory.

Please note - most journeys take place at either end of the school day, with a limited number at other times during the day. Occasional weekend work is also available if interested.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
