We are looking for enthusiastic psychological/CBT therapists or qualified clinical / counseling psychologists to join our well-established multidisciplinary adult eating disorders team in Oxford. We are also keen to consider final year Doctoral counselling or clinical psychology trainees, who are due to qualify and be HCPC accredited towards the end of 2020/early 2021.

This is an exciting time for our team due to the potential for the development of a new service model for out-, day and inpatient services across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We are also involved in the development of New Care Models/Provider Collaboratives which will transform the way inpatient services are delivered across the country.

Cotswold House (Oxford) is a specialist adult eating disorders service with a reputation for excellence. Our service provides a stepped-care model tailored to the needs of adults with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder as well as those with co-morbid mental health problems and their carers. We offer a range of evidence-based treatments for eating disorders (e.g. CBT-ED, MANTRA, SSCM) and deliver these on out-, day- and in-patient bases. The post is based at Cotswold House (Oxford). The inpatient, day and outpatient service is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team including: clinical and counselling psychologists, a CBT psychotherapist, psychiatrists, dietitians, occupational therapists, nursing staff, assistant psychologists, support workers and team administrators. We are moving towards development of a life span service and have very good links with colleagues in the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Services and also the adult community eating disorders service in Buckinghamshire.

The service offers excellent opportunities for supervision, service development, service evaluation and research, teaching, and training. We have good supervision and operational structures and an excellent track record of CPD, as well as good links with Oxford University, particularly with the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology. The service is also committed to evidence-based and evidence generating practice and you will have the opportunity to be part of service evaluation and Quality Improvement projects.

The main component of the role will be in providing high quality specialist CBT-ED (both on a 1-1 and in group format) to patients and their carers/families who are referred to the eating disorder service. The post holder will be required to offer supervision to other trainee and assistant psychologists and offer advice, consultation, teaching and supervision to the multi-disciplinary team (as appropriate). The post holder will be ambitious and have a positive attitude and outstanding clinical skills. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills which will enable them to thrive within a multi-disciplinary team context and in working with this complex patient group and their families.

This vacancy is full time, however, part time/flexible working can be considered.
