£24,214 to £37,267 per annum pro rata

We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons to the north.

There has never been a more exciting time to join our team as we shape the future of our Community Midwifery Service and continue on a journey of improvement with our plans to fully integrate our Community teams with our Freestanding Birth Centre as part of our commitment to improving continuity of care to the women. We have invested in a new Freestanding Birth Centre based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital which includes two birthing pools, and double bedrooms where partners are welcomed to stay . We also feel privileged to be able to offer women a Home Birth Service

Various posts are available including full and part time hours.

All staff new to the Health Board are offered a well-established Preceptor-ship and induction programmes and there is opportunity for continuous CPD, eg Newborn Examination, Neonatal Advanced Life Support, Regular study days on Water-birth and increasing normality. Community PROMPT courses are part of the annual multi professional mandatory training programme.
