A unique opportunity within Pharmacy to undertake a full-time work placement during the University summer vacation period. This is an 8-week fixed term position on a bank contract, of which 6 weeks are paid and 2 weeks are un-paid.

We require an enthusiastic, hardworking person to join our friendly team. You will participate in the supply of medicines and other duties carried out by our in-patient pharmacy dispensary. You will also participate in the ordering, receipt of goods, storage of medicines and stock management. During the 2-week unpaid time you will be involved in a departmental audit/project and visit wards with the pharmacists.

This is not a specific training post, but every opportunity will be given to offer you experience of Hospital Pharmacy in as many different areas as possible.

Pharmacy plays an important role in the safe and efficient supply of medicines to patients. Therefore, this valuable opportunity will enable you to expand on your technical skills, clinical knowledge and obtain a further insight into Medicines Management and the different services that Pharmacy provides to the Trust.

If you feel you share our values and have the personal qualities required for this post, we would like to hear from you.
