About the ‘Bank’

MLCSU Business Intelligence Team is providing an opportunity for suitably skilled Analysts, Application and Data Warehouse Developers to join our ‘Business Intelligence Staff Bank’.

The Bank is a register of suitably skilled analysts and developers who would be interested in short to medium term project work.

Projects could range from 1 week to 1 year and cover a range of activities from the provision of existing services to Clinical Commissioning Groups to the development of new services for Integrated Care Systems and Partnerships (ICS/ICP).

The Bank would suit those seeking occasional, short to medium term project work rather than those seeking permanent or fixed term employment.

About our Opportunities

MLCSU are looking to appoint experienced Business Intelligence analysts, Application and Data Warehouse Developers to join our staff Bank. Flexibility can be offered with regards to location within the geography that MLCSU spans, dependent upon the specific project concerned. We are looking for skilled individuals to support a range of potential projects as we respond to the evolving needs of evolving Integrated Case Systems and Partnerships, Primary Care Networks and the drive to support Population Health Management.

Opportunities will span bands 6, 7 and 8 depending on the requirements of the project and would be agreed at the time of discussion.

Candidates accepted onto the Bank will potentially be involved in a range of project and skills will vary depending on the post applied for but an indication of some of the skills we are looking for is listed below:

  • Requirement elicitation and documentation
  • Project management skills
  • Application Development / Programming Skills e.g. Programming Languages – C#, JavaScript
  • Source control / team working products, e.g. SubVersion, TFS, Git
  • Relational database management systems, ETL, Data cubes and complex tabular based data/reporting models, Online interactive reporting (SSRS, Tableau).
  • Data Science Skills e.g. R, Python
  • Data analysis and interpretation, including communicating complexities to non-information specialists
  • Detailed knowledge of various statistical, analysis and visualisation packages
  • Using a variety of methodologies for data visualisation e.g. SPC charts
  • Predictive Modelling and the use of Machine Learning Techniques

Candidates will also have responsibility for the delivery of high-quality services to existing and new CSU customers, the successful applicants will potentially lead on the design, implementation, continual review and development of health and social care analytical solutions. Candidates will need to evidence that they the skills, knowledge and experience required to support projects of this nature. Ideal candidates will possess NHS specialist knowledge and be familiar with NHS terminology although this is not essential.
