We are a responsive and innovative Foundation Trust that places our values of Caring, Safe and Excellent at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in our staff and believe that investing in you is key to us achieving our vision of outstanding care delivered by outstanding people.

We work with a wide range of partner organisations to deliver care and support to people in their own homes and from a number of hospitals and community bases. We focus on delivering care as close to home as possible.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team in Oxfordshire Community Dental Services. This is an ideal career opportunity for anyone looking to develop their existing skills and to provide a first-class service. You will assist our clinicians in a variety of settings including:

  • Special care dentistry
  • Inhalation and IV Sedation
  • Dental anxiety management including assisting with CBT
  • Minor Oral Surgery
  • Orthodontics
  • School surveys such as BASCD
  • General Anesthesia
  • Domiciliary visits

We support our nursing staff to work in all the above aspects of dentistry including the delivery of inhalation sedation training, CPD support and post certificate funding.

This placement will be based in Oxford with the expectation to travel between 9 dental clinics within our service. Our clinical sessions are Monday to Friday and usual working hours are between 8.30am – 4.30pm. Flexibility in your approach to work is therefore essential and you must be able to travel easily around the county. Travelling outside of your base will be covered by travel expenses.

The successful candidate should have a positive attitude towards working in a team environment and provide our patients with the best possible care. The trust ensures regular supervision with line managers to ensure both staff and the service are supported.

There is also an opportunity to join our out of hours dental service which attracts enhanced rates of pay.

Registration with the General Dental Council is a requirement of this post.
