We are looking for motivated APP’s who are passionate about the consistent delivery of quality clinical management of musculoskeletal conditions for the patients presenting to our MSK services. We are looking for generalist APP’s or those with a specialist interest in Rheumatology, Pain or specific body-parts and skill-sets (e.g. Ultrasonography). We would also be keen to discuss supporting APP’s to develop the above areas of expertise.

You’ll work as a self-sufficient practitioner and deliver a quality clinical service meeting the clinical and commercial needs of the service.

Whilst undertaking comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs, you will formulate, deliver, review and progress individual programmes and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge is achieved.

Developing and promoting a positive and dynamic image and culture, you will be key in fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local Consultants and GP’s, and provide support and training to other clinical staff and students.

Our Service in Herts Valley

Our Herts Valley service is a large integrated MSK service that provides a single-point of access for NHS patients and enables a seamless, efficient MSK patient journey.  As part of our integrated community pathway we deliver Community Physiotherapy, Pain, Rheumatology, Hands, CATS and Postural Stability. You will be part of a large, dynamic multidisciplinary team which includes MSK Physiotherapists, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, GPs with special interest in Pain and Rheumatology, Consultant Rheumatolgists, Psychologists, Hand therapists and Rehabilitation Therapists. The integrated service design allows clinicians to work together to deliver seamless and evidence-based care for patients and enables inter-disciplinary learning.

We deliver our services out of a number of different hub site clinics and GP practices across Herts Valley localities. This encompasses Dacorum, Hertsmere, Watford and Three Rivers and St Albans and Harpenden. There is the expectation that you will be flexible to the needs of the service and you may be based out of a couple of different locations within your working week.

We also operate out of a number of community gym settings in the locality and can provide bespoke and supervised rehab programmes within a fully equipped gym environment, allowing patients to transition seamlessly on discharge.
