Stock Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stock Controller here at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

As a flagship for the Purchasing & Supplies Department, this role is the first link in the supply chain, delivering an extensive range of goods.

The post provides a complete Stock Management Service that includes:

  • Identifying the requirements of Wards/Departments; from point of need to ensuring goods are stored appropriately at the point of use.
  • Monitoring and advising Wards and Departments of stock levels.
  • Providing information to all Clinical Stakeholders on delivering Best Value.
  • Promoting robust Budget Management.
  • Supporting Patient Care.

You will work in conjunction with the Buying Team and the Receipt & Distribution Team to ensure the most appropriate supply route. You will also act as the first line Procurement/Liaison Ambassador, Wards & Departments the Procurement Team and Associated Suppliers.
