We have an exciting new opportunity for a suitably skilled band 4 Physiotherapy Technician based in the out patient Physiotherapy gym.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team. You will need good communication skills, a flexible approach to work and be able to physically mobilise patients as well as operate, use and fit adaptive equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Physiotherapists with musculoskeletal (MSK) outpatients including classes, cardiac rehabilitation and amputee rehabilitation. They will be expected to deliver a range of treatment including rehabilitation programmes, exercise progression and gait re-education under the supervision of a Physiotherapist.

The Physiotherapy Technician will be supported by a team of qualified Physiotherapists, and other Therapy technicians. The post includes some administrative tasks.

The post holder will be naturally empathic, demonstrating good communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both service users and staff. They will need to be creative; adapting activities to promote improvements in function, and flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload and service.

They will possess good, written communication skills in order to document treatments in patient records, and be computer literate using hospital based computer systems for recording statistics and managing patient bookings.

In service training programmes and staff appraisal systems are in operation to help you develop to meet the demands of the post.
