As a team we recognise the value of down time and so most of our tutors generally work a four day week, meaning plenty of time off to spend with family and friends.

As a Learning and development team we are particularly proud of our staff survey results which demonstrate that the Trust values, as well as our team values are upheld by everyone in the team. Our staff say that they are happy and healthy at work and enjoy the challenges and opportunities on offer.

SWAST use specialist driver training vehicles the majority of which are less than three years old, all of them are high specification, high performance vans and cars which ensures that your comfort and safety is maintained when undertaking training events.

Whilst this is a fixed term role, there may be ongoing requirements for support beyond the contract offered – this can be discussed at interview.

The role may require some time away from home, as we delivery courses across 8 counties; however, we use quality hotels and pay an evening meal and overnight allowance.

If you’d like some more information about the role please feel free to call the office who will arrange for a tutor to call you back. We think it’s better to talk to a tutor, rather than a manager as you can find out what the role is really like, from someone who does it.

Call the office on 0300 3690267 option 4

This role can be based at one of the following bases: Plymouth, Exeter, Dorchester, St Leonards, Taunton, Chippenham, Bristol.
