In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, now known as Midlands Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. It was developed to provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England with the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.

Successful in its endeavors, Inclusion has grown to provide drug and alcohol and sexual health, mental health services in the community, and prisons. Employing over 750 staff, including Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Allied Health Professionals,Therapists, Drug & Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide services to in excess of 19,000 services users per annum across the South East, Midlands, East of England and North of England.

The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both substance misuse and mental health concerns. Inclusion has extensive experience of working alongside and providing services to Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authority Public Health Teams, Police & Crime Commissioners, NOMS, NHS England and a broad range of public and voluntary sector institutions. The Inclusion Directorate with Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation provides Integrated Mental Health and Psychosocial teams into 10 prisons across Staffordshire and Worcestershire.

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our multi-disciplinary teams with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire prisons. As part of this expansion weare looking for compassionate and skilled RMN to join us. Working in prisons is both challenging and rewarding.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 RMN to join the Integrated Mental Health and Psychosocial Substance Misuse Team at HM Prison Stafford. HMP Stafford is a closed training prison which holds 751 category C males convicted of sexual offences. The Integrated Mental Health & Substance Misuse Team is an innovative forward thinking team, committed to a Recovery focused approach to individuals’ needs.

The multi-disciplinary team is dedicated to mental healthcare delivery and consists of Psychiatrists, Registered Mental Health Nurses, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker delivering a range of therapeutic Interventions offered in line with a stepped care model with a single point of access for prisoners experiencing mental health or substance misuse difficulties.

As an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Nurse you will hold a caseload, deliver evidence based clinical interventions, and work collaboratively with other agencies to meet the needs of service users who present with a range of mental disorders and substance misuse needs. Excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application to prisoners who require transfer to hospital is central to this post.

You will be part of a regional service working in collaboration with other mental health professionals delivering mental health interventions in prisons across Staffordshire and Worcestershire.

We will offer you clinical, operational and professional supervision with CPD opportunities agreed with your manager. You will contribute to the development of the clinical pathway across the prisons, specifically identifying discipline specific contribution to service delivery
