Vacancies have arisen for dynamic, enthusiastic and caring Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers to join our team at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit. We are seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals who are committed to providing high quality of care to our patients.

At Bradgate Unit, we provide care and treatment for acutely unwell individuals with a variety of mental health problems. You will be part of the nursing team delivering packages of care to a diverse group of people with complex needs and will need to be able to display a positive attitude towards this client group.

Good communication skills are essential as well as being able to work as part of a team. A good sense of humour and the ability to empathise are vital for this role.

Applicants will need to be able to work flexibly across a 24 hour rota including weekends, nights and bank holidays.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

To make the most of your application, we may consider successful applicants for vacancies for the same post in different locations where this is appropriate and meets our mutual requirements.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.
