Looking for a rewarding role in which you can support the delivery of an effective Organ and Tissue donation programme? Then read on...

You will help save lives as you support the team responsible for establishing and maintaining centralised donor records. You will photocopy, print and prepare paperwork and associated documentation required to support donation facilitation and Specialist Nurse Organ Donation (SNOD) on-call activity. Your general administration responsibilities will include opening and sorting post, undertaking data entry and dealing with requests for information. Ensuring that our donor records are up to date and accurate will be a key focus of the role.

An excellent communicator, you will have some experience in a clerical role. This will be matched by strong administration skills, including maintaining manual and electronic filing systems, using photocopiers and scanners, and undertaking data entry. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications supported by RSA2, NVQ2 or equivalent will be essential. You will also have strong literacy skills. Your ability to deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment will set you apart.

Within the organisation, our dedicated teams collect, test, store and deliver blood, plasma and tissue to every NHS Trust in England and North Wales, as well as facilitating, matching and allocating organ donations UK wide. As an essential service, we’re committed to positive transformation and are currently embarking on an ambitious programme of change.

This is an excellent opportunity to take your administrative skills to the next level, and in doing so enabling people in need to benefit from life-saving operations and treatments. Put simply, a chance to improve patients’ lives – and yours.

You will be part of a rota that is currently in place in order to cover the hours between 08:00 to 18:00.
