We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacist who is interested in enhancing their clinical and technical skills and expertise in the areas of Haematology, Oncology and Aseptic Services by joining our Multidisciplinary Oncology team.  We have a very strong working relationship with all of our Nurses and Clinicians and our Pharmacy team is very well respected.

The successful applicant will support the provision of cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies (MABs), centralised intravenous additives (CIVA) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) to patients at the hospital and outside units in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department.  All of our haematology and oncology patients are treated in a state of the art Macmillan centre which was built 5 years ago.

As a conscientious, forward thinking individual with attention to detail, you will have input into the development of chemotherapy protocols and procedures and will become closely involved with the specialist haematology team.

The ability to work as part of a team and good communication and numerical skills, are an essential part of this role.

The Trust actively supports learning and development and attendance on appropriate training courses is encouraged. In line with the Carter metrics all clinical pharmacists will be supported to become independent prescribers.

Applicants who require Tier 2 immigration status to work in the UK are welcome, but such candidates will not be appointed to the post if there are a sufficient number of other suitable candidates as the employing body will in those circumstances be unable to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test, as required by UKBI.
In view of recent changes to Home Office Immigration Regulations, all applicants must state their current immigration status, including expiry dates.

All job offers are subject to Agenda for Change T&C’s, excluding medical posts. Offers may also be subject to a Standard or Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate, dependent on the position.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post.
