The Minor Injury Unit (MIU) at Prince Philip Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) to work as part of a team within the unit.

The MIU was established 2 years ago and provides care for patients that self present with Minor Injuries, but also provides care for Major patients prior to referral to specialty. The unit is staffed by a GP supported by ENPs and provides 24 hour care.

 

We are looking to recruit an experienced ENP who can practice without direct supervision, as an independent healthcare practitioner within the MIU.

 

The successful candidate will be required to undertake assessment, diagnosis, treatment /referral and discharge of patients with minor injuries and illness , working within the scope of practice.

 

They will work as a part of the team within the MIU, and be expected to support Triage nurses.

 

MIU supports the opportunity for long day working. Candidates are required to work flexibly across day and night rotation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/ or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
