We are looking for an experienced dietitian to join our critical care dietetic team.

Royal Papworth has built an incredible reputation as one of the leading cardiothoracic hospital's in Europe. We are famous for pioneering a series of 'firsts' in heart and lung medicine – from the UK’s first successful heart transplant in 1979 to the world's first successful heart, lung and liver transplant in 1986.  Royal Papworth Hospital carries out more major heart operations than any other hospital in the UK, currently totalling more than 2,500 per year. Our hospital includes the country’s largest heart and lung transplant centre and the national centre for pulmonary endarterectomy.  Our busy and highly specialised critical care unit has 33 beds and provides care for the most complex heart and lung patients.  As a tertiary centre we frequently admit patients from other hospitals, both within the region and from all around the country.

You should be an enthusiastic dietitian and a good communicator as you will be attending our daily multidisciplinary ward rounds to discuss proposed nutrition plans and to maintain the high dietetic profile. Experience in the area of nutritional support, including parenteral nutrition is essential, with a keen interest in critical care nutrition.  You will be joining a supportive team who are forward thinking and place an emphasis on team working.  It is a very exciting time to join our hospital team as we move to our brand new, state-of-the-art hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in April 2019.

You will fully supported by experienced critical care dietitians and will be encouraged to improve your knowledge and experience through tutorials and peer review.

If you are interested in joining our team or require further information, please contact Sarah Airey or Carolyn May or telephone us on: 01480 830541 and Bleep 219  or  call our Dietetic department: 01480 364672 and leave a message.
