We require RGN’s to work in primary care service and there are also opportunities for RGN’s/ RMN’s to work within our Substance Misuse Service. The ideal candidates will have a sound nursing knowledge base, excellent communication skills, an understanding of the complex needs of the residents and have the ability to operate confidently within an MDT.

HMP & YOI Styal is a female prison with a population of approximately 470 residents. Spectrum Community Health CIC is a social enterprise which has been successful in tendering for an NHS funded fully integrated health and social care service. The integrated service has been in place since 1st April 2016 and we now need to recruit additional qualified staff to provide this service. Residents have access to a 24 hour nursing and GP service as well as services from a number of other providers including mental health services, substance misuse, dentistry, optometry, podiatry and midwifery. The primary care and substance misuse nursing team is dedicated to improving the health of all residents who are from diverse backgrounds and who present with the full range of general health problems.

Spectrum Community Health at HMP & YOI Styal also provides nursing services to the Immigration Removal Centre at Manchester Airport and staff have the opportunity to integrate across the services. Due to the nature of working in a secure environment specific security criteria will be required to be met. (please see attached document)

Successful candidates will also be expected to undertake shifts at the Immigration Removal Centre at Manchester Airport on occasion. For this, Counter-terrorism Clearance (CTC) is required. Spectrum will put the successful candidates through the full CTC process on appointment.

On top of your basic salary, you will receive at least 27 days' holiday each year rising to 33 days after 10 years’ service (excluding bank holidays).
