We're recruiting for Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team!

We have an opportunity for a Full Time, 37.5 hours per week hours per week, which both include shift and weekend working.

This post is within the Neurological Early Supported Discharge Teams of Solent Neurological Rehabilitation Service based at the Western Community Hospital.

You will be based in Snowdon at Home and provide flexible support to the Community Stroke Team. These Early Supported Discharge Teams provide intensive rehabilitation and therapeutic care to patients in their own home following neurological events.

In the role you would share a joint caseload of patients under the supervision of qualified Therapists including Speech and Language therapy, Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy. The aim of your rehabilitation intervention being to enable patients to leave hospital sooner and support them in returning to daily activities and accessing the community.

You would have support and training to enable you to:

  • Follow and implement prescribed rehabilitation therapy programmes of exercise from Qualified therapists, including strengthening and balance exercise, walking practice, speech and language exercise, cognitive therapy and functional activities of daily living.

We are looking for you to have some experience of working within a therapy/rehabilitation setting and be an energetic and enthusiastic team member. You would need a Healthcare NVQ3 or evidence of working at an equivalent level.
