If you enjoy working with people and are interested in working alongside Occupational Therapists in an acute hospital setting, then this could be the job for you. We are looking for a capable and adaptable individual to join our friendly Musculoskeletal in-patient team at UHL. This is a post in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to see patients in both a ward and clinic setting.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within an multidisciplinary team. Our purpose is to enhance the patient’s functional independence and safely discharge from hospital. You must have a clear understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to be motivated, organized and have the confidence to use your initiative for problem solving.

You will need to have had experience of working with a variety of different people. Previous experience in Therapy is desirable, however work experience in a healthcare setting will be considered if appropriate.

Clerical experience and the ability to use computers are desirable in these posts, as administrative and clerical duties are involved.

You must have equivalent of Grade C or above at GCSE in English and Maths.

You will receive a comprehensive Trust and departmental induction, regular supervision and annual appraisal and a training programme to support your development.

Post holders will work their core hours Monday to Friday but will also be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a roster system.
